This Privacy Policy explains how Araku Aranya Resort and its affiliates (collectively “Araku Aranya Resort”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collect, use, disclose, store and otherwise process your personal data when you visit or use our website or avail any services offered through the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, providing information, or booking services through the Platform, you accept and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and to be governed by the laws of India. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Scope and Location of Processing

You may browse certain parts of the Platform without registering. We do not offer services under the Platform outside India. Personal data collected via the Platform will primarily be stored and processed in India.

We collect information you provide directly and certain information automatically when you use the Platform. Types of information include, but are not limited to:

a. Information you provide when registering, booking or contacting us

  • Name, date of birth, postal address, telephone/mobile number, email address.

  • Identity or address proof you upload (when required).

  • Payment information necessary to complete transactions (credit/debit card details, UPI, bank account details or other payment instrument details), subject to applicable laws and the terms of the payment processor used.

  • Biometric data only where you opt in to a biometric-enabled feature (e.g., facial recognition) and only with your explicit consent.

  • Booking history, payment and billing details, invoices and communications relating to your bookings or purchases.

  • Records of your communications with our support, marketing preferences, feedback, reviews and any content you submit.

You always have the option not to provide certain information. However, withholding required information may prevent us from providing specific services (for example, completing a booking).

If you request account deletion via the Platform profile settings or by contacting our Grievance Officer (details below), we will delete your account and personal data except to the extent we must retain certain information for legal, audit, fraud-prevention or legitimate business purposes. An account deletion may prevent us from completing pending bookings, refunds or resolving disputes.

Anonymized or aggregated data derived from your information may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request deletion or restriction of processing.

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (withdrawal will not affect processing performed prior to withdrawal).

If you provide personal data of another person to us, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to do so and that the person has been informed of and consents to the processing described here.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform with the “Effective date” at the top. Significant changes will be notified to users as required by applicable law.

  • Use of the Platform and any disputes arising out of this Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.
